The USA Basketball Foundation (USABF) announced today that it has received a $3.5 million donation from the Tull Family Foundation (TFF). The gift, which is the largest since the USA Basketball Foundation launched in 2019, will support youth and sport development programs, ensuring kids have access to the game.

“We are grateful to the Tull Family Foundation for a first-of-its-kind donation to the USA Basketball Foundation in support of youth and sport development and various other USA Basketball programs,” said Jim Tooley, USA Basketball CEO. “Through this generous gift, the USA Basketball Foundation will be able to continue to enhance its mission which includes empowering youth, championing women and promoting social responsibility through sport while also continuing to grow the game of basketball at all levels. We are extremely grateful to the Tulls for their partnership and look forward to working together with them and their foundation.”

The gift builds on TFF’s commitment to helping to support organizations driving change and transforming lives in underserved and underfunded communities.

“Youth sports have a unique ability to build confidence, give children much needed structure and enrichment, and build lifelong skills,” said Thomas Tull, visionary entrepreneur and co-founder of the Tull Family Foundation. “They played an integral role in my life and getting me to where I am today, and that is why Alba and are excited to support the USA Basketball Foundation and the incredible work they do to expand youth sport access to underserved and underfunded communities.”

Through TFF’s donation, the USABF will continue to build on a mission that seeks to create lasting change through sport.

“I would like to thank Thomas and Alba Tull for their generosity and belief in our mission,” said Jennifer Lynne Williams, chief development officer for the USA Basketball Foundation. “This monumental gift will make an immediate impact in our programming and will positively affect all individuals who participate in USA Basketball programming.”
