Middle School Students In Salt Lake City Got A Surprise Visit During NBA All-Star Weekend
Middle school students in Salt Lake City got a surprise visit during NBA All-Star Weekend It was smiles all around for the kids at the Glendale Middle School and the Bwil Sports Academy who spent a fun afternoon break with USA Basketball Chief Development Officer Jennifer Lynne Williams and former NBA player Kenny Thomas.
The teachers and staff were very welcoming, and the kids had a blast listening to Jennifer and Kenny share how basketball has positively impacted their lives; but the highlight had to be the free swag that the Foundation provided. The students were so excited and appreciative when they received their gear!
It’s our belief that growing the game has the power to shape young athletes to become leaders both on and off the court, and in doing so, help build stronger, more resilient communities.
