While women have made significant progress toward achieving representation in the sports industry, barriers still exist at the collegiate and professional levels that prevent equal opportunity and advancement.

#WINWITHHER

USABF’s #WinWithHer initiative champions female sports leadership on the court and in the professional roles behind collegiate and professional athletics. In partnership with corporate sponsors and foundation partners, #WinWithHer increases female representation in the sports industry by creating professional development opportunities, networking events, and mentorship programs for young women pursuing careers in sports.

WOMEN IN THE GAME CONFERENCE

USA Basketball’s Women in the Game conference is a biannual leadership event where young women gain practical tools and career strategies to break into the highly competitive sports industry. Attendees network with and learn directly from top female professionals across college athletics, sports media, business, marketing, entrepreneurship, and more. They leave inspired, with actionable steps for achieving their career goals.

SCHOLARSHIPS & GRANTS

USABF awards full scholarship packages and registration grants for deserving young women to attend Women in the Game. In 2025, USABF provided 12 full scholarships to the spring conference and 30 registration grants to the fall conference so more women could attend this transformative event.

WHO CAN APPLY?

All young women ages 18+ who are interested in launching careers in the sports industry are encouraged to apply for Women in the Game scholarships and grants.
