USA Basketball Foundation to Welcome Scholarship Recipients to Women in the Game Phoenix
Sixteen future leaders will receive scholarships to attend the USA Basketball Women in the Game conference.
The USA Basketball Foundation has awarded 16 future leaders in sport full scholarships to attend the USA Basketball Women in the Game conference on Thursday, April 2, at Arizona State University in Phoenix.
Women in the Game is a professional development conference for high school and college students and young professionals looking to explore the sports industry or seeking a career in sports. Guest speakers from different areas of the industry will speak on their personal journeys, key characteristics that helped them be successful and advice for those who want to make their own path. Scholarship recipients were selected from nearly 250 applicants and their scholarships, valued at $3,500, include travel, accommodations and conference registration. Three recipients were selected in partnership with the Alex Morgan Foundation, who once again supported the USA Basketball Foundation #WinWithHer initiative with a gift to provide mothers in coaching the opportunity to attend Women in the Game.

In partnership with corporate sponsors and foundation donors, #WinWithHer increases female representation in the sports industry by funding professional development opportunities including scholarships and registration grants to the Women in the Game conference.
“USA Basketball’s Women in the Game is a premier conference that offers future and young professionals in our industry an opportunity to hear from women who have experienced success across many career paths,” said Jennifer Lynne Williams, chief development officer, USA Basketball Foundation. “We are excited to welcome these scholarship recipients and dozens more aspiring women to Phoenix. I would like to thank the USA Basketball Foundation supporters who make this and other opportunities possible.”

The USA Basketball Women’s National Team will host a training camp from April 1-3, while the USA Basketball Women’s Junior National Team will host its annual minicamp April 2-4. The junior camp will feature on- and off-court opportunities for invited athletes. Rosters for both camps will be announced at a later date.
The Foundation will host the 2026 Torch Leadership in Sport cohort for a variety of leadership, networking and basketball experiences throughout the week.
